Keyboard and current features

The basic keyboard works without Google sign-in. Keyboard input, suggestions, learned words and keyboard preferences are processed on your device for typing features. Text you enter is delivered to the app in which you are typing; that app's privacy policy also applies. Our current analytics events do not contain typed text, clipboard content, individual keystrokes or suggested words.

Feature availability depends on the installed build and server configuration. The advertising integration adds banners below Tools and optional full-screen rewarded ads in Task Center. AI model generation and purchases remain unavailable until their backend services are enabled.

Account information

We use Google Firebase Authentication. The app can create an anonymous guest identifier even if you do not sign in with Google. If you choose Google sign-in, Firebase processes your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile information provided by Google, together with authentication tokens. We use this information to authenticate you and manage your IntelliKey account. Authentication services also process technical information such as IP addresses and user agents for operation and abuse prevention. We do not receive your Google password. For email/password registration and sign-in, your email address and password are transmitted to Firebase Authentication to manage and authenticate your IntelliKey account. We do not add passwords to analytics or app logs. You can request a password-reset email through the sign-in screen.

Usage information and configuration

Google Analytics for Firebase processes app-instance identifiers, device and app information, approximate location derived from network information, and app activity. Our events record settings opening, whether the keyboard is enabled or selected, keyboard display, Google login attempts and their result, and sign-out. Firebase may also collect automatic app lifecycle events. We use these statistics to understand usage and improve reliability and usability. The app's Analytics advertising-ID collection and automatic screen reporting are disabled.

Firebase Remote Config processes installation identifiers and technical information to deliver configuration values. Analytics is controlled by our app configuration and is enabled by default in this release; basic typing does not require waiting for these network requests. There is currently no in-app analytics preference.

Optional purchases and AI

When purchases are enabled, Google Play handles payment details. To verify purchases and restore balances, our Firebase backend processes your IntelliKey account ID, a hashed account identifier used with Play, product IDs, purchase tokens, order identifiers, subscription status and expiry, and credit transaction records. Payment-card details are handled by Google Play, not our app. Only verified purchases grant credits. Purchase and accounting records may be retained as required for refunds, disputes, fraud prevention and legal obligations; see the deletion process below.

Where an AI feature is enabled, only the text and instructions you choose to submit are sent for that request to our service and the configured external model provider. Ordinary keyboard input is not automatically sent to a model. The feature must identify the applicable provider and data processing before submission. Request event records can contain submitted text and generated results; our current Agent design limits those records to 24 hours. Provider retention and processing must be disclosed for the model actually enabled. Paid AI purchases remain disabled until delivery and accounting are ready.

Advertising and credit rewards

We use the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to request and display banners in Tools and optional rewarded ads in Task Center. The SDK may process your IP address (including approximate location), device and app information, SDK or installation identifiers, ad impressions, clicks, interactions, and diagnostics for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and reliability. Our Android manifest removes access to Android Advertising ID; this does not prevent other SDK identifiers or network information from being processed. We do not put typed text, clipboard contents, screenshots, email addresses or names into ad requests.

Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) handles applicable consent messages and privacy choices before ads are requested. Where required, you can reopen “Ad privacy choices” from Settings or Task Center. Basic typing does not depend on agreeing to personalized ads or watching rewarded ads. Rewarded ads start only after you choose to watch; leaving before completion earns no reward.

Firebase stores your account or guest ID, task ID, daily completion counts, a random reward-session ID, verified AdMob transaction ID, timestamps and credit ledger. AdMob receives the random session ID and a pseudonymous hash of your account ID in server-side verification data. A verified completion grants the task’s quoted credits once, subject to the daily limit. AI execution debits the same wallet at a server-configured price; failed or cancelled runs are refunded. Test ads never grant real credits. Reward and credit records are retained for account balances, duplicate prevention, support and fraud investigation, subject to the account-deletion process below.

Support and website

If you email us, we process your email address and the information you provide to answer your request. Please do not send passwords, login codes or private keyboard text. These support pages use Firebase Hosting and contain no analytics scripts or advertising. The hosting provider processes network request information to deliver and protect the website.

Providers, purposes and international processing

Google/Firebase processes information to provide authentication, analytics, remote configuration, advertising, consent management, reward verification and hosting. Information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. See Firebase privacy and security information and Google's Privacy Policy. We use account information to provide requested account features, technical information to operate and protect the service, and usage information to improve the app. Where consent is required for processing, we must obtain it. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or to address abuse and protect rights.

Retention and deletion

Account information is retained while your IntelliKey account exists. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via our account deletion page. We verify account ownership and complete deletion from systems we control, and initiate applicable service-provider deletion, within 30 days of a verified request. Provider backups and security records can take longer to expire: Firebase states that authentication data is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days after deletion is initiated.

Usage data follows the retention and deletion settings of our analytics service. Analytics is not deliberately linked to your Firebase account ID, so deleting a login account does not by itself identify every installation's analytics records. Contact us for help with an installation-data request; do not send authentication tokens. Aggregated statistics that no longer identify you may remain. If specific records must be retained for legal or security reasons, we will explain the categories, reason and applicable period when handling your request. Local keyboard data can be removed through Android's app-storage controls or by uninstalling the app; OS-managed dictionaries and backups have separate controls.

Your choices and rights

You may use this release without Google sign-in and contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal data, or to object to or restrict processing where applicable. You may also contact your local data protection authority. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your server-side account. Requests may require proportionate verification of ownership.

Age and policy changes

IntelliKey is intended for users aged 16 and older and is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. We will update this page when practices change and provide additional notice where required.
